Hyderabad, Aug 10 (INN): Telangana TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Sunday asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to clarify as to why he remained silent when the clause of Special Powers to Governors was incorporated in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014.
Speaking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Errabelli said that TRS leaders celebrated when the Telangana Bill was passed in the Parliament during the previous UPA regime. He asked whether KCR did not read the contents of the Bill which was passed which clearly mentioned about Special Powers to Governor in the joint capital area of Greater Hyderabad. He said the BJP-led NDA Government is only implementing the Bill and therefore, it should not be blamed for the same.
Errabelli condemned KCR for blaming Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the Centre’s letter on Governor’s Special Powers. He alleged that KCR was targeting Chandrababu Naidu only to divert people’s attention from his failures. He said KCR’s wrong policies and approach have been hurting the interest of Telangana people. He said although entire opposition was ready to cooperate with KCR for Telangana’s development, he was not showing any interest in working as a team.
