Jobless son kills mother for cash
Hyderabad, Aug 4 (INN): In a gruesome incident, a 60-year-old woman was brutally murdered by her own son.
The incident took place in Vidhyuth Nagar of Weaker Sections Colony in Sanathnagar police limits on Monday morning. According to police, the deceased, Laxmi’s son Shiva intercepted her near the railway track close to their residence and asked her to handover Rs 60,000 cash which she was carrying to some place. On refusal, he allegedly beat her up and smashed her head with a boulder leading to her instantaneous death. He later fled from the scene by snatching away the cash.
Shiva was jobless and was addicted to bad habits.
Police registered a case of murder for gain against Shiva and launched a manhunt to nab him.
Toddler found murdered alongside unconscious mother
A three-year-old boy was found murdered while her mother was found lying unconscious in Mujahedpur village of Kulkacharla police limits on Monday morning.
According to police, they received a call from the local residents stating that a woman was lying unconscious and a boy was lying dead besides her in bushes in Mujahedpur. A team which was immediately sent to the spot found that the boy has been strangulated to death using a cloth.
The woman was immediately rushed to a nearby government hospital. She was later identified as 22-year-old Sujatha, wife of Kishore and resident of Kondurg. She is still unconscious. Police has formed special teams to solve the case. (INN)
Chain snatchers strike in Nanak Nagar
Two unidentified persons snatched away a gold chain from a woman in Medipalli police limits.
According to police, two unidentified persons came on a bike and snatched away four tolas of gold chain belonging to Kamalamma near her residence in Nanak Nagar of Yacharam on Sunday night. Police registered a case and began investigations.
Mysterious woman steals gold chain from school girl
An unidentified woman snatched away gold ear-rings from a school girl in Vanasthalipuram police limits.
According to police, they received a complaint from one Srinivas of Harihara Colony stating that his children – Durga Bhavani (8) and Arvind (7) went missing from the Zilla Parishad School. Srinivas dropped both the kids in front of school gate on Monday morning. However, before they could enter the school, they were allegedly taken away by one unidentified woman.
The police immediately launched a hunt and traced both the children near a library in NGOs Colony. The children told the police that they were lured away by the woman who claimed that her children too study in the same school. By taking them to an isolated place, she snatched away the gold ear-rings, worth nearly Rs 4,000, of Bhavani and fled from the scene.
Police intensified efforts to search the woman after registering a case against her, according to Sub-Inspector Veera Swamy.
Two killed in road accidents
A 38-year-old man suffered grievous injuries when the bike he was riding was hit by another motorcycle on Aushapur Road in Ghatkesar Police limits.
The accident took place on Sunday night. The man was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The deceased was later identified as Daya Shankar Prasad, a carpenter and resident of Shivareddyguda.
In another case, 26-year-old T Raju died on the spot after he was hit-and-run by an unidentified vehicle nearly SR Nagar crossroads on Sunday night. Raju was a labourer and residence of Mathura Nagar.
Woman succumb to burn injuries
A 30-year-old woman succumbed to the burn injuries which she suffered after setting herself ablaze.
According to Dundigal police, the deceased, Madhavi, died of burn injuries which she suffered on August 2. She took the extreme step after having an argument with her husband B Srinivas over some trivial issues. She was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she died Monday morning.
Man killed in train accident
A 27-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a train near Arts College Railway Station.
The incident occurred on Sunday night while he was trying to cross the tracks. The Kachiguda Railway Police later identified the deceased as Zahed Khan, a resident of Nehru Nagar of Kachiguda. He was an employee of a private firm.
