Hyderabad, Aug 4 (INN): GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain on Monday expressed displeasure over the non-implementation of decisions taken by the General Body and Standing Committee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Chairing a review meeting at the GHMC Headquarters, the Mayor said that several resolutions passed by the in the General Body and Standing Committee remained on paper since January 2012. He directed GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar to furnish the list of all works which were approved, but remained unimplemented. They include 15 major developmental works worth more than Rs 5 crore which are now pending with the State Government.
The Mayor, Deputy Mayor D Rajkumar, floor leaders of different parties and members of Standing Committee, who participated in the meeting also advocated a new policy for allotment of tenders. They also asked the officials to expedite the works on Comprehensive Road Development Programme, Litter Free Zones and other schemes. (INN)
