Hyderabad, June 25 : IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Wednesday announced that Telangana Government would soon launch some innovative projects linking education, health and Panchayat with the Information Technology.
Speaking to media persons in his chambers in the State Secretariat here, KTR said that the technologies which are required for the next 20 years would be introduced in Telangana in the coming five years. Experts’ advise has been sought to introduce e-Education, e-Health and e-Panchayats. He said all Panchayats in the Telangana would be directed connected with the State Secretariat using IT. Similarly, all Primary Health Centres and other health and medical establishments would be connected with the Directorate of Health in Hyderabad.
KTR said that the government would have a detailed discussion with the experts in a meeting to be held on June 27. He informed that heads of nearly 150 IT giants are likely to participate in the proposed meeting. He reiterated that Hyderabad city would be a 100 per cent IT hub. He said efforts were on attract national and global companies for investment in Telangana State.
The minister said that the implementation of Information Technology in different sectors would improve the efficiency of the government. He said fake ration cards, pension beneficiaries and other loopholes could be weeded out through the proper use of IT.
KTR said that the effective use of Information Technology would create a new image of Hyderabad across the globe. INN
