GHMC Chief asks people to Pay Property Tax by June 30

Hyderabad, June 25 : GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar has appealed to the citizens of GHMC to pay their Property tax before June 30 without any penal interest. He said that if paid after 1st July, 2014 an interest of 2% will be levied per month on the tax amount.

The Commissioner said that GHMC could collect Rs 161 crores up to 24th June whereas GHMC has collected Rs 83 crores up to 24th June last year. The collection up to 24th June this year is 94% higher than that of last year’s collection as on 24th June 2013.

The Commissioner informed that the Citizen Service Centres will be kept open on 29th June, 2014 (Sunday) to facilitate the tax payers. He has appealed to the citizens to utilize this opportunity and pay the property tax before 30th June without penal interest. INN
