Hyderabad, June 24 : Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday made it clear that District Collectors would be held accountable for the implementation of all welfare schemes in the State.
During the subject-wise review with District Collectors at the State Secretariat here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that there should be no negligence with regard to implementation of welfare schemes in Telangana. According to sources, KCR directed the Collectors to strictly implement the SC, ST Sub-Plan along with other schemes meant for the welfare of SCs and STs. He also asked Collectors to personally monitor the implementation of schemes for the welfare of minorities. He also asked the Collectors to appoint a Nodal Officer for all pilot schemes. He asked them to directly report to him on the status of implementation of welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister directed the Collectors to remain alert to deal with the monsoon season. He said medical teams should be kept ready to deal with the outbreak of diseases and emergency teams should be on alert to counter any eventuality. He said shortage of staff could be met by hiring personnel on temporary basis.
KCR also asked the Marketing and Agriculture Departments to coordinate to ensure supply quality seeds to farmers during Khariff season. INN
