Hyderabad, June 23 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said that goal of soon-to-be-announced new industrial policy would be to make the “Made in Telangana” label as a globally recognized brand for quality and innovativeness.
Addressing the ground breaking of one of the two new investments being made in Telangana by Tata Advanced Systems, a Tata group company, the Chief Minister reiterated that the new industrial policy would be announced soon, after due consultations with all stake holders like the CII, FAPCII and MSME Industry associations.
“Your (Tata Group) new partnership forged with RIJAG shows the confidence of an established European group in Totals world renowned capability and in turn your decision to locate this sophisticated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, demonstrates the faith and confidence that Tata Group reposed in this State. I understand that Tata Advanced Sytems has three units already operational in the Adhibatla Aerospace SEZ which is one of its kinds in India, on the lines of Seattle of the United States and Nagoya of Japan. This SEZ is set to become a global hub along with many such specialised clusters planned as part of the Information Technology Investment Region, the ITIR,” KCR said.
The Chief Minister said that the Telangana has the unique advantage of having a large number of research organizations and research laboratories of the DRDO, DRDL, MIDHANI, BDL, Research Center Imarat, BEL, HAL and the Ordnance Factory. This provides a strong base for collaborative research between manufactures of components and researchers of aero-space technologies, he said.
“It is our determination and strong endeavor that the State of Telangana should emerge as the favourite destination for national and international investments and as a leader in the aero-space and defence sector. We will leverage the advantages of our local resources and institutions with unmatched industry friendly governance,” KCR said.
The Chief Minister reiterated that there would be an effective single window system and it would be monitored in his office through a Special Chasing Cell., planned as a Special Purpose Vehicle under the ITIR authority. All departments who have to give clearances for setting up of industries will be held to a strict timeline for review and approval of investment proposals. There will be no need for entrepreneurs to run around multiple offices and human contact will be minimized, he said. He assured the Tata Group and all other investors that Telangana State would offer the best business regulatory environment as well as a competitive incentive package for future investments in my State.
The Chief Minister also invited all potential national and international investors to visit the State and assured them they would experience the best in class facilities and environment for the investments. INN
