Hyderabad, June 23 : Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to deal firmly including, resorting to demolition of the constructions in Hyderabad that are illegal as well as built without permission.
The Chief Minister also advised the officials to take the help of police, if necessary, since this type of constructions are without any permission from the corporation. It doesn’t require any advance notice to initiate action, said the Chief Minister. In case of constructions that have permission but are built with deviation they may be served with notice before initiating action.
KCR has further indicated to initiate action to protect the Gurukul trust lands. He said that due to indifference of previous government the lands were under illegal occupation. Constructions have come up there without permission. He said that Telangana Government would ensure that without compromising, all these lands are restored back to government.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting in this regard with Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Excise Minister T Padma Rao and Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, GHMC officials and police officials were present in the meeting.
KCR said that nobody would be spared if even an inch of Gurukul trust lands are in illegal occupation and who ever encourages them shall be punished. Willing to provide water or electricity or any other facility from Govt. to such buildings will be viewed as illegal said the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister instructed the police department to provide security in protecting the lands. INN
