JICA officials review Hussain Sagar improvement project

Hyderabad, June 20 : The JICA mission comprising Takahiro Suzuki, Programme Specialist and Monika Ranjan, Senior Project Officer reviewed the progress of Hussain Sagar Lake and Catchment Area Improvement Project (HCIP).

Dr. R.P.Khajuria, Project Manager, HCIP & Member Environment, HMDA and other officials from HMDA, HMWS&SB and GHMC were present during the review meetings held on Friday and Saturday. Later, the JICA Team had discussion with. Neerabh Kumar Prasad, Project Director, HCIP & Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA and discussed about the progress of HCIP.

The team conducted site visit to 20 MLD STP (Recycled & reuse of water), Dredging works at Balkapur Nala, additional I&D at Bridge 2 & 3, Trunk Sewers (Package-IV) on Minister Road in Afternoon. The JICA team expressed satisfaction over the progress of various components under the project.  INN
