Hyderabad, June 16 : The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen on Monday urged the State Government to take steps to ensure smooth and peaceful celebration of holy month of Ramzan.
Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat after participating in the review meeting held by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, MIM MLA Ahmed Balala said that they had demanded a water plant and generator for Mecca Masjid and Royal Mosque (Public Gardens). Further, they said that Hyderabad Police should be directed not to harass the traders and the shops should be allowed to remain open round the clock. He said that the Muslim employees should be permitted to leave their office by 4 PM.
The MIM also demanded uninterrupted supply of power and drinking water during the month of Ramzan. INN
