Telangana Govt proposes delivery of medicines at people’s doorstep

Nalgonda, June 15 : Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on Sunday informed that the TRS Government was working on a plan to ensure delivery of medicines to the people’s doorsteps.

Speaking to media persons after inspecting the NIMS Hospital building in Rangapuram village of Bibinagar mandal here, Dr Rajaiah said that the government would ensure that the people, especially those living in rural areas, get access to required medicines. He said that the government would soon come out with a comprehensive strategy to implement this proposal. He said a meeting would be conducted in Hyderabad on June 17 to discuss various issues related to medical and health department. Senior officials, experts and elected representatives will participate in the meeting.

Dr Rajaiah, who also holds the charge of Medical and Health Department, assured that the NIMS hospital building in Rangapuram village would be completed soon. He expressed regret that the hospital works remained incomplete even after the expenditure of Rs 72 crore in the last nine years.  INN
