Naidu announces Rs 1 lakh ex-gratia for sunstroke victims

Hyderabad, June 15 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday announced payment of ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each to the families of those who died due to sunstroke in the State.

The Chief Minister directed his deputy and Revenue Minister K E Krishnamurthy to initiate the process of payment of ex-gratia by taking details from the District Collectors. He said the victims’ families would also be paid another Rs 50,000 under the Apathbandu Scheme. He also asked the officials to take measures and launch awareness campaign to prevent deaths due to sunstroke.  INN
