Hyderabad, June 12 : YSR Congress Party floor leader in Telangana Legislative Assembly Tati Venkateswarlu on Thursday surprised the House by stating that technically he was a resident of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking on Governor’s address in the House, Venkateswarlu said that although he got elected from Aswaraopet Assembly segment of Khammam district, his residence is located in Kaikulru mandal which is still a part of Narsaraopet Lok Sabha segment. Another mandal Elurupadu of Khammam is part of Narsaraopet Lok Sabha constituency. Therefore, he said technically he would be having the ration card of Andhra Pradesh.
Venkateswarlu asked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take up the issue seriously as hundreds of families belonging to Telangana and living on the borders of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh would be facing similar problems.
The YSRCP leader also asked the TRS Government to clarify whether it would continue the schemes like SC, ST Sub-Plan, Arogyasri and other populist schemes which were launched by former Chief Minsiter Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. INN
