Beas River Tragedy: One more body to be brought to city on Thursday

Hyderabad, June 11 : The Telangana Government has continued the relief and search operations at Mandi/Kullu areas and the officials are coordinating with the Government of Himachal Pradesh as well as central agencies like ITBP, NDRF etc.

The Defence Ministry has also issued instructions for the Navy personnel to go there to step up the search operations. On Wednesday, the body of a student, identified as Shabbir Hussain, was found. Arrangements are being made to bring back the body by road to Delhi Airport and it will be brought tomorrow by flight to Hyderabad. Because of heavy rains, the helicopters are not operating in Himachal Pradesh.

A batch of divers is also being brought from Gauhati to continue the search operations, an official release said.  INN
