Naidu to meet Srikrishna Committee on June 14

Hyderabad, June 10 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will meet the Srikrishna Committee to discuss the issue of new capital of residuary State.

According to sources, Naidu will inform the Committee about his decision to build the new capital between Vijayawada and Guntur. He had earlier indicated about the location of new capital and said that the State Government, not a Central Committee, should be empowered to decide the location.

Meanwhile, Naidu has reportedly asked officials to prepare a report on the proposed location for new capital covering aspects like land acquisition and creation of other infrastructure. Nearly Rs 4-5 lakh are expected to be spent on the construction of new capital in the next 10 to 15 years.  INN
