Hyderabad, June 9 : The South Central Railway will launch a major and special cleanliness drive for a period of 15 days from June 10th to 24th, covering all the six Divisions of SCR.
According to SCR General Manager PK Srivastava, a specific schedule of inspection of major stations and important trains has been issued for the senior officers working at Rail Nilayam, the Zonal Headquarters. Divisional Railway Managers have been asked to chalk out a detailed inspection schedule for the Divisional officers and DRMs shall be inspecting at least one station every day during this period.
It is aimed to bring out a visible impact / improvement in the overall cleanliness at all the passenger areas Viz., trains and stations, the SCR GM said. This special cleanliness drive will include focused attention on cleanliness of platforms, toilets on platforms, waiting halls and retiring rooms and other areas where there is passenger interaction. Circulating areas and pre-paid taxi areas will also be covered. During this drive, station buildings will be white washed, opened drains will be covered and water leakages, if any, will be attended.
All the inspecting officers have been instructed to ensure initiating immediate corrective action to rectify the deficiencies noted. The compliance will be monitored at the level of General Manager on a daily basis. INN
