Guntur, June 8 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has assured full support to new government of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the public meeting after the swearing-in ceremony of Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his council of ministers at Acharya Nagarjuna University here on Sunday, Rajnath Singh congratulated Naidu on being sworn-in as the Chief Minister and hoped that Andhra Pradesh would touch new heights under his leadership. Praising Naidu’s capability and administrative skills, he assured that the BJP-led NDA Government would extend full support for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
BJP veteran LK Advani thanked Chandrababu Naidu for inviting the representatives of BJP and NDA from across the country for the event. He recalled the role played by TDP chief for the formation of first NDA Government at the Centre.
Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal described the occasion as historic and hoped that the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh would prosper under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh faces several challenges as it has no capital, funds, educational institutions or other infrastructure. However, he assured that the Centre would extend full cooperation in building a new Andhra Pradesh. He said Andhra Pradesh has the biggest coastline and huge natural resources. He said that potential of Andhra Pradesh would be fully explored and it would soon become one of the most developed States of the country. INN
