Hyderabad, June, 5 : Telugu Desam Party legislators of residuary State of Andhra Pradesh called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday informing him about their decision electing Nara Chandrababu Naidu as their leader in the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly.
Led by senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the TDP MLAs requested the Governor to formally invite Naidu to form the government in Andhra Pradesh as he has been unanimously elected as the leader during the Telugu Desam Legislature Party meeting held at Tirupathi on Wednesday evening. The Governor has asked the TDP MLAs to inform him about the exact time and venue of swearing-in ceremony. Speaking to media persons later, Yanamala said that the details would be sent to the Governor by Thursday evening.
Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony will be held at Nagarjuna University between Vijayawada and Guntur on June 8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of 11 States are among 5,000 guests being invited for the event. INN
