Hyderabad, June 2: TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday personally called up Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for his swearing-in ceremony as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 8.
According to sources, Naidu made a phone call to KCR after latter’s swearing-in-ceremony and congratulated him on becoming the first Chief Minister of Telangana. He wished him good luck and hoped that Telangana would achieve growth and development under his leadership. He also invited KCR to attend his swearing-in-ceremony to be held on June 8 near Guntur. Sources say that KCR has accepted Naidu’s invitation.
Meanwhile, Naidu has so far invited 11 Chief Ministers from across the country. They include Chief Ministers of Goa, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Nagaland and West Bengal. He also invited several Union Ministers on the occasion. Among others who received Naidu’s invitation are Dr Jayaparakash Narayana of Lok Satta Party, YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and leaders of CPI and CPI (M) and other politicians from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
