RGI Airport Custom Officials seize 0.387 Kg four gold bars from a passenger

Hyderabad, May 30 : The RGI Airport Custom Officials at Shamshabad Airport has seized 0.387 Kilograms of Four Gold Bars from a passenger. The total value of the gold is Rs 11 lakhs approximately.

Based on intelligent profiling, the officers of Customs Air Intelligence Unit, A-Batch, RGIA, Hyderabad, at around 11.00 Hrs. of Friday intercepted at the customs exit gate, a passenger by name Shaik Chan Basha from Proddutur who arrived from Jeddah by Air India Airlines Flight AI-964. The passenger was carrying a hand bag and opted to pass through the Green Channel. On questioning by the officers, about possession of any dutiable / prohibited goods, the passenger denied and replied in negative. On detailed examination of his hand bag the officers noticed it contains only his personal effects. Because of the nervous behavior and suspicious nature of the passenger, the officers have conducted detailed personal search, as a result of which they have recovered Four Gold Bars totally weighing Kg. 0.387 deftly concealed by the passenger. The total value of gold bars seized is Rs. 11 Lakhs (approximately). The passenger was interrogated and he admitted the offence. Further follow-up investigation is going on.

The entire operation was done under the guidance of R. Manohar, IRS, Additional Commissioner. Assistant Commissioner Mohammed Ali, supervised the operation. N.S. Rama Krishna Rao, Air Customs Superintendent of Air Intelligence Unit effected the seizure. G. Prabhu Kiran, A. Suresh , Air Customs Officers assisted in the said operation.

Man falls from tree, dies

Hyderabad, May 30 : A 38-year-old Farmer died of a head injury that he suffered after falling from a tree while plucking Mangos.

According to Dundigal police, deceased Chinna Shankaraiah (38) an farmer R/o Birampur of Dundigal, deceased while plucking Mangos from a tree on Thursday evening hours, he was accidentally fell down from the tree due to which he received multiple injuries and died on the spot.

Dundigal police registered a case dead body shifted to Gandhi Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and after autopsy deceased body handed over to his relatives.

Student allegedly jumping from height, dies

Hyderabad, May 30 : A 24 year old Student committed suicide by allegedly jumping from a building at Banjarahills on Thursday.

According to Banjarahills police, deceased JY Harish (24) an student S/o Sri Rama Krishna R/o Uppal committed suicide by allegedly jumping from a apartment at Banjarahills on Thursday due to which he was died on the spot.

The family members of the man told the police that he slipped into depression due to his failing health / from last two years he was a cychiatrist patient and might have ended his life over it.

Banjarahills police registered a case and dead body shifted to Osmania Hospital Mortuary for postmortem, after autopsy his body handed over to his relatives. Sub Inspector S Santosham said.

Hyderabad, May 30 :body of a ten year old girl from water sump on Thursday evening hours.

According to Meerpet police, deceased V Lavanya (10) an second standard student D/o late Chandu R/o Indira Sena Reddy Nagar of Nandavanam, karmanghat, deceased while playing her school ground she accidentally drowned in water sump due to which she was died on the spot on Thursday evening hours. police retrieved the dead body from water sump.

Girl succumbs to accidental burn injuries

Hyderabad, May 30 : A 18 year old girl died of burn injuries which she suffered on at her residence in Chintal of A C Guards.

According to Saifabad police, deceased Khatija Begum (18) a House Hold D/o Saleem Bin Abdullah R/o Chintal of A C Guards caught fire while cooking on kerosene stove accidentally flames caught her on May 19 night hours, due to which she received multiple burn injuries, Immediately she was rushed to OGH for treatment where she died on Thursday night hours.

Saifabad police registered a case dead body shifted to OGH Mortuary for post-mortem after autopsy deceased body handed over to her relatives. Sub Inspector S Chandra Sekhar said.

Ill health drives Painter to suicide

Hyderabad, May 30 : A 35 year old Painter committed suicide by hanging at his residence on Thursday night hours in Meerpet police station limits.

According to Meerpet police, deceased K Gangadhar (35) S/o Late Suryanarayana R/o Jilelguda of Meerpet committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence on Thursday night hours.

The family members of the man told the police that he slipped into depression due to ill health and might have ended his life over it.

Auto driver body retrieved from swimming pool

Hyderabad, May 30 : The Kukatpally police retrieved the body of an 19-year-old man who accidentally drowned in swimming pool while swimming.

According to Kukatpally police, deceased Sai Kiran (19) an Auto Driver S/o Sanyasi Rao R/o third phase of KPHB, on Thursday evening hours deceased went to swimming pool at Vivekananda nagar for swimming accidentally he drowned while swimming due to which he was died on the spot. Kukatpally police retrieved the body from swimming pool.

Kukatpally police registered a case and dead body was handed over to his relatives after an autopsy was conducted on Gandhi Hospital mortuary and began investigations.
