Hyderabad, April 23 : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Dr Shravan Kumar demanded that BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi tender an unconditional apology for his remarks against Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Shravan Kumar condemned the remarks of Modi wherein he stated that people from other parts of the country would have required a visa to visit Hyderabad if Sardar Patel would not have taken appropriate action in 1948. Describing it as a hate speech, Shravan Kumar alleged that Modi was hurting the communal harmony and peace in Telangana. He demanded that Modi withdraw his remarks and tender an apology for making such controversial remarks.
Shravan Kumar also ridiculed Modi’s claims on fighting corruption. Referring to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu as “corruption king”, he alleged that Modi was speaking about ending corruption by sharing the dais with him. He alleged that Naidu looted the resources and assets of Telangana and shifted them to Singapore, Dubai and other countries. He said Modi himself worked as an agent of corporates.
The Congress leader alleged that Naidu backstabbed his own father-in-law NT Rama Rao to become the Chief Minister and then backstabbed the people of Telangana to stay in power. He also alleged that Modi was trying to encash upon the popularity of film stars like Pawan Kalyan who lacks basic sense about politics.
Shravan Kumar also slammed TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao and accused him of being an agent of communal forces in the country. He said KCR did not give any prominent post to any Muslim within own party although he is trying to portray himself as a friend of Muslim community. INN
