TPJAC to announce its poll strategy on April 14

Hyderabad, April 12 : The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee will announce its decision on its support for the political parties on April 14.

According to sources, the TPJAC leaders have been approached by both the Congress and TRS seeking their support. However, the TPJAC leaders sought more time to arrive at a conclusion on extending support. While some leaders were in favour of supporting the TRS, others feel that it should support the Congress as it had fielded some TJAC leaders as its candidates in the ensuing elections. Therefore, the final decision will be taken in the TPJAC meeting on April 14.

Further, sources say, that the TPJAC leaders are unanimous in not support the BJP due its alliance with the Telugu Desam Party. They said that the TDP had obstructed the formation of Telangana on several occasions. Therefore, supporting BJP candidates would send a wrong signal among the people.

There might also be a split in TPJAC’s leaders’ decision in extending their support. They might support the TRS in the State and the Congress at the Congress. However, since such an announcement might create confusion among the people, the TPJAC wants to come out with a clear-cut statement on their stand.  INN
