Naidu reiterates the promise of “Social Telangana”

Hyderabad, April 11 : Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday reiterated that his party would build a “Social Telangana” if voted to power in the ensuing elections.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion of Social Reformer Mahatma Jyothi Rao Phule birth anniversary celebrations at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Naidu claimed that it was the TDP that initiated the process of imparting social justice in the State. TDP founder late NT Rama Rao encouraged ordinary people to join electoral politics and empowered several weaker sections of the society. He said it were the TDP’s policies which enthralled the weaker sections to fight for their rights in the society.

Naidu reiterated his promise that the TDP would make a Backward Classes leader as the Chief Minister of Telangana. He condemned the Congress for not giving a similar assurance. He appealed to the BCs to support the TDP for their own empowerment.

The TDP chief also recalled the services of Jyothi Rao Phule for the empowerment of BCs and weaker sections. AP BC Association leader and LB Nagar Assembly constituency candidate R Krishnaiah and others were also present.  INN
