Election authorities seize over Rs 91.81 Cr cash

Hyderabad, April 11 : The election authorities have so far seized cash of Rs 91.81 crore during the checks conducted at various places across Andhra Pradesh.

The authorities have also seized over 3.4 lakh litres of illicit liquor during raids. A total of 26,562 Prohibition cases have been registered and 10,941 persons have also been arrested. The authorities have also shut down as many as 7,614 belt shops.

So far, 17,705 Licensed Arms have been deposited in all 23 districts. A total of 1440 Non-Bailable Warrants have been executed although 2059 NBWs were still pending. A total of 124,508 cases were booked under Defacement of Property Act for Model Code of Conduct violations like Wall writing, posters, banners, etc., Nine vehicles have been seized for misuse like use of beacon lights, flags, etc.,  INN
