Hyderabad, April 10 : The representatives of several prominent Muslim religious, social and non-political organizations, from all 10 districts of Telangana, will meet on April 12 to decide the future course of action for the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

In a media statement, Tahreek Muslim Shabban president Mohd Mushtaq Mallik informed that the Muslim organizations will finalise their strategy to defeat communal forces in the ensuing general elections. More than 200 representatives of different organizations are likely to participate in the meeting scheduled to be held at Shah Function Hall, Lakdi-ka-Pul at 11 AM on April 12. He said that the Muslim organizations would not only extend support, but will also campaign in favour of candidates and parties who can build a secular, strong and developed Telangana.

Mushtaq Mallik said the first government of new State of Telangana should undo the injustices done with the minorities of this region. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and Sangh Parivar of hatching a conspiracy to isolate the Muslims of Telangana. Therefore, he said the Muslim groups will unitedly take a decision to counter such conspiracies. Further, such forces will be given a humiliating defeat in the ensuing elections, he said.

Mushtaq Mallik said that Muslim minorities, who constitute over 12.40 per cent of total population in Telangana, should exercise their voting rights judiciously. He said Muslim voters are the deciding factor in majority of all 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies. Therefore, they should vote in favour of parties and candidates who could defeat communal forces, he said.  INN
