Congress screening committee to meet on Thursday

Hyderabad, April 9 : The screening committee of Congress party will meet on Thursday to finalise the candidates for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in residuary State of Andhra Predesh.

The meeting, to be held in New Delhi, will be attended by AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, senior leader Vylar Ravi, APCC President Dr N Raghuveera Reddy, Union Minister K Chiranjeevi, former PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and former minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy.

The Screening Committee is likely to pick candidates for the ensuing elections from the shortlisted candidates. The APCC had claimed that it received over 1100 applications for 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra region.  INN
