BJP worker attempts suicide against tie-up with TDP

Hyderabad, April 7 : A BJP worker attempted suicide at party’s headquarters at Nampally during the protest against leadership’s decision to tie-up with the TDP.

The worker, who was later identified as Bhagwat Rajesh, tried to set himself ablaze in front of the BJP office by pouring kerosene. However, the other party workers immediately rushed to his rescue and prevented him from setting himself on fire. He was among nearly 500 workers who staged a strong protest against tie-up with the TDP. They hailed from LB Nagar, Huzurabad, Karimangar, Nalgonda, Zaheerabad and others areas.

Violent protests were also reported from other offices of the BJP in Telangana region. The workers staged violent protest in BJP’s Ranga Reddy District office and damaged office furniture.  INN
