Hyderabad, March 10 : The 4th International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Aviation -India Aviation show organised jointly by Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) here at the Begumpet Airport. The five day show will begin from March 12 and the main focus will be on ‘Enhancing Air Connectivity’.
Minister for Civil Aviation Ajith Singh will formally inaugurate the show on Wednesday. Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L Narasimhan will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
Speaking to the media along with I.N. Murthy, Begumpet Airport Director, Lt. Col. Vivek Kodikal Regional Director (Trade Fairs) – FICCI in connection with the Aviation Show, Joint Secretary of Civil Aviation Ministry G Ashok informed that more than 250-exhibitors including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault and Rolls Royce are participating in the event.
“Biggest aircraft in the world Airbus A-380 and Dream Liner Boeing 787 are going to be special attractions at the premier air show. The Indian Aviation show will be open for general public on March 15 and 16. The initial three days are reserved exclusively for business community, in which big deals are expected to be signed”, he said. This time the focus state is Karnataka, partner country is US Department of Commerce and the Guest country is France.
Ashok also said -“At present India ranks 9th with nearly 400- functional air crafts, by 2020 the country will be in third position as the air crafts would go up to 1000. The Aerobatics flying display will be done by two teams from London. There will be two shows every day”, he said.
Ambassador of France Francois Richier, Director of US Trade and Development Agency Leocadia and Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation Ashok Lavasa also participate are also expected to participate at the event. CEOs forum conference, Static display and demonstration flights will be part of the part of the Aviation Show. INN
