Hyderabad, March 7 : Senior Congress leader Gade Venkat Reddy on Friday demanded that the Election Commission of India take a call on conduct of municipal elections in the State, scheduled to be held on March 30.
Speaking to media persons here, Gade said that there should be a gap of at least three weeks between the election to local bodies and general elections. He said conduct of elections without proper gap would not only create problems for the parties, but would confuse the voters. Since the municipal elections are being held at the directions of Andhra Pradesh High Court, he requested the Election Commission to approach the Supreme Court in this regard. INN
