Haj committee office to function on Saturday and Sunday

Hyderabad, March 6 : State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof S A Shukoor on Thursday informed that the last date for submission of filled in Haj Application Forms is 15th March 2014.

So far around nine thousand applications have been received in the office of the AP State Haj Committee, which includes 300 applications under Reserved Category A ‘pilgrims 70+ years’ and more than 500 applications under category B ‘fourth time applicants’. The reserved category applicants are selected automatically without Qurrah (Draw of Lots).

Prof Shukoor said that the office of the Haj Committee will function on Second Saturday 8th March and Sunday 9th March for the convenience of Haj Applicants. The intending pilgrims can avail this opportunity and submit their filled in application along with Bank Challan of Rs. 300 per person, two copies of valid passport (having validity till 31-03-2015), two copies of a solemn declaration and tow color photographs of front size with white background.

Reserved category pilgrims both 70+ and 4th timers should submit the Haj Application Forms along with original passport. Reserved category applicant should not have performed Haj during his life time either through Haj Committee or through Private operator or any other means. The pilgrim under 4th timer will have to indicate the cover number of each of the last three years, otherwise the application will be treated in the General category for Qurrah.

The Haj Application Forms can be obtained free of cost from the office of the Haj Committee or downloaded from the website www.hajcommittee.com. The intending pilgrims should fill up the forms as per the details of their International Passport Records in English language in bold letters.
