Hyderabad, March 5 : Majlis Bachao Tehreek leader Amjedullah Khan Khaled on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal seeking intervention to get permission to conduct public meetings.
In his representation, Khaled alleged that Hyderabad City Police was asking the MBT to first get permission from the municipal authorities to organise public meetings. However, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has been refusing to give permission stating that there was no precedent of municipal corporation permitting public meetings. He demanded that the Election Commission intervene and bring some clarity on the issue.
Khaled also complained that flexis and hoardings of a particular party were not removed from the city despite the orders of the High Court in this regard. INN
