KCR family calls on Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Feb 23 : Telenagana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, along with his entire family of 12 members, called on AICC President Sonia Gandhi here on Sunday.

Speaking to media persons later, KCR said that he met Sonia Gandhi only to thank her for granting statehood for Telangana region. He said that the dream of Telangana became a reality only due to the efforts of Sonia Gandhi. During the 10-minute meeting, KCR also submitted a report on Telangana to the Congress president.

The TRS chief said that he would discuss political issues with Andhra Pradesh Incharge of Congress Affairs Digvijay Singh later. Stating that he would stay in the national capital for another five days, he said that he would again meet Sonia Gandhi after meeting Digvijay Singh.

KCR informed that he would also meet President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh soon to thank them for their support to the new state.  INN
