CS asks industry to explore investment options in tourism

Hyderabad, Feb 21 : Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty on Friday advised the investors to explore the options of making investments in tourism-related projects.

Speaking after inaugurating the Hyderabad Travel Meet here, Mohanty said that the potential to develop tourism in the State was huge. He said adequate investments in tourism projects would also provide employment to hundreds of steps. He said that the State Government was taking all measures to promote tourism in the State. Citing a few projects, he said that the government was developing the Mir Alam Tank as the tourism destination. With 927 KM long coastline, Andhra Pradesh could offer beach tourism while the potential for wildlife and Buddhist tourism too is also huge.

Noted film producer Dr D Rama Naidu said the tourism potential was still unexplored and there were lot of tourists spots which could be developed well.

RGI Airport CEO SG Kishore, Tourism Department (GoI) Joint Secretary Anand Kumar, Tourism Department Special Secretary and other officials also addressed the event.  INN
