New Delhi, Feb 19 : Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Wednesday gave clear indications that he would not quit from his post over the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy submitted his resignation to Governor ESL Narasimhan, Botsa said that Kiran had informed him about the decision to quit on Monday itself. He admitted that the resignation would cause some damage to the Congress party. Expressing sadness over the division of Andhra Pradesh, he indicated that he would continue on his post.
“The resignation of any leader will generally cause some damage to the party. We are trying to do damage control for the loss caused with the resignations of several leaders from the party”, he said. INN
