Telangana will be a reality on Wednesday: Shankar Rao

Hyderabad, Feb 17 : Former minister Dr P Shankar Rao claimed that Telangana State will be a reality on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference at Congress Legislature Party office here on Monday, Shankar Rao said that despite all obstacles, AICC President Sonia Gandhi will ensure passing of Telangana Bill in the Parliament. He said that BJP was trying to play politics over Telangana Bill and giving indications that it might not support the Bill. However, he said Sonia Gandhi will ensure passing of Bill in both the Houses of Parliament.

Shankar Rao also ridiculed the meeting of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with Seemandhra legislators on Sunday. He said only seven ministers and 27 MLAs attended the meeting. He said that the Chief Minister should now realise his worth in the State politics.

The former minister also said that three “babus” need to apologise to Sonia Gandhi for their remarks against her. They are – Kiran Babu, Jagan Babu and Chandrababu.  INN
