Hyderabad, Feb 15 : YSR Congress has demanded the TDP to come clear on its policy on the division of the State before N Chandrababu Naidu takes up the public meeting at Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district.
“The local leaders should force TDP President to announce his stand and solidarity for a united state before addressing the public meeting which is morally binding on his part as he had earlier given a letter accepting the division of the state,” Party MLA G Srikanth Reddy told reporters here on Saturday.
The local leadership should also ensure that he withdraws the letter he had given in favour of the division and issue a whip directing his Party MPs in Parliament to be on a united stand. Only after this Naidu will get eligibility to address a public meeting in Seemandhra region.
His ambiguity and his endorsement for the division have been a blot on him and to clear the air he has to be categorical that he is favour of a united state, failing which he has no moral right to address the meeting in that part of the state.
While there was pandemonium in the House, Naidu was in Delhi and has pitched his Party MPs against each other on regional basis. Everything went according to a script and it will not work out now as his Tadepaliigudem meeting is coming at a time when things are turning precarious at Delhi.
“We demand that Naidu sends a clear message whether or not he is in favour of a united state, he said.
Chief Minister on the other hand is on signing spree of GOs and there are indications that he has got kickback to finance the proposed political party he is supposed to float.
Without showing concern to the people’s issues like MSP, fees reimbursement and the issue of anganwadi workers, the Chief Minister is trying to clear files that would fill his own coffers to float a political party as per the direction of the high command.
The game plan is in the open and clear and people will reject such people. Had the Union Ministers resigned immediately after the CWC decision the impact would have been different he said answering a question.
“It is YSRCP that has been in the forefront of the united state struggle and our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been tirelessly meeting leaders of national and regional parties to ensure that the Bill is defeated in the Parliament, he said. INN
