Tadepalligudem (West Godavari), Feb 15 : Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday blamed UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for the present political situation in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the Praja Garjana held at Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district, Naidu raised the issue of Sonia Gandhi’s Italian origin. He accused Sonia Gandhi of behaving like the political goddess for Telugu speaking people. He said how Sonia Gandhi, who came from Italy, could understand the problems of Telugu speaking people. Further, he alleged that the Congress president was running the government like Italy’s notorious mafia.
Naidu accused Congress party of playing vote bank politics on the issue of State’s bifurcation. He said that the State could be bifurcated only after getting the nod from State Legislative Assembly.
The TDP chief said that the Congress mistreated the Telugu people who played a major in the formation of UPA-1 and UPA-2 Governments at the Centre.
Naidu also claimed that it was the TDP Government that brought development in Andhra Pradesh, especially Hyderabad. INN
