New Delhi, Feb 14 : Expelled Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Friday expressed regret over the pepper spray incident during the tabling of Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons here, Rajagopal said that he felt guilty about Thursday’s incident. However, he defended his action by reiterating that he used pepper spray only in self-defence. “I went into Well to protect a MP from other state from Congress MPs. Some MPs attacked us with the support of Congress High Command. They also manhandled us. I used pepper spray only for self protection,” he said.
Rajagopal held the Congress High Command responsible for the incident. He said he had no intention to hurt anyone. INN
