New Delhi, Feb 14 : YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called on BJP president Rajnath Singh here on Friday seeking BJP’s support to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
Speaking to media persons later, Jagan said that during his half-an-hour long meeting with the BJP chief he requested him to play his part in stopping bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He said the actions of Congress-led UPA Government have raised serious questions on the existence of democracy in India. He urged all the opposition parties to join hands and oppose the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill. “What is happening Andhra Pradesh today might happen in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka tomorrow,” he said.
Jagan stressed the need for joint efforts to stop the bifurcation process which he alleged was being carried out in an undemocratic manner. INN
