Ponguleti condemns TRS, T-TDP over Polavaram

Hyderabad, Feb 9 : Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Sunday accused the TRS and Telangana TDP leaders of remaining silent on the issue of feared submergence of villages of Bhadrachalam due to Polavaram project.

Speaking to media persons at Assembly’s media point here, Ponguleti said that as many as seven mandals and 204 villages would be submerged affecting about 2.5 lakh tribals due to Polavaram project. However, he said that the Telagnana Rashtra Samithi and Telangana leaders of TDP have been maintaining silence on the issue. He warned that the Telangana Congress legislators would launch a massive protest if the Centre fails to address this issue on immediate basis.  INN
