Both the leaders have reportedly assured that their parties would back the Telangana Bill when it is tabled in the House. Speaking to media persons later, KCR thanked the national leaders for promising to support the Bill. He said that the formation of Telangana State was in the last stages and passing of Bill would be the last step in the process of State’s bifurcation.

Lalu Yadav said that his party was in favour of smaller States and therefore, it supports the demand for Telangana. He endorsed the movement seeking statehood for Telangana region.

However, Sharad Yadav did not openly announce his support for the Telangana Bill. He said that there should be an amicable solution for the Telangana issue which should be acceptable to both the regions. He said his party would debate on the issue when the Bill is tabled in Parliament.

KCR is also likely to meet the leaders of all other political parties to ensure that the Telangana Bill gets passed in both the Houses of Parliament without any hurdles. INN
