Hyderabad, Feb 1 : State Minister C Ramachandraiah on Saturday gave clear indications that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would participate in the proposed protest in the national capital against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons after participating in a meeting of Seemandhra leaders with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at latter’s camp office at Begumpet, Ramchandraiah said that an appointment has been sought with President Pranab Mukherjee on February 4th or 5th. He said that the President would be apprised of the resolution passed in the State Legislative Assembly rejecting the Telangana Bill. Indicating that the Chief Minister might participate in the Delhi’s protest, he said that a final decision in this regard was yet t be taken.
Ramchandraiah expressed hope that the appeal of Seemandhra leaders would be considered by the President. He said that legislators from the region have expressed their views in both the Houses of the State Legislature and the Centre could not ignore them.
Meanwhile, minister S Sailajanath announced that the legal options were being explored to stall the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, the Chief Minister chaired a meeting of Seemandhra region including ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs. They discussed organising a protest rally from Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to Rashtrapati Bhavan after a sit-in for some time. INN
