Hyderabad, Jan 30 : Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy claimed victory for Telangana people in successful completion of debate on AP Reorganisation Bill in the State Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly’s media point, Komatireddy said that the Telangana legislators have made successful efforts in the last four days to block the resolution moved by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy under Rule 77 seeking rejection of the Bill. He said although the resolution has been passed by Speaker Nadendla Manohar through voice vote, the Telangana MLAs were successful in completing the process of taking Assembly’s views on the Bill.
Komatireddy said that now the focus would be to ensure passing of Telangana Bill in the Parliament. He said a strategy has already been devised by the Congress party and Telangana State would be a reality in the month of February. INN
