Child rapist convicted and sentenced for Life Imprisonment

Hyderabad, Jan 22 : According to Kulsumpura police, Child Rapist Mohammed Shahed (28) years, who kidnapped, Raped and strangulated to kill a 7 years old girl from Sabzimandi on March 10, 2008 was convicted and sentenced for life imprisonment.

Police said, On March 10, 2008 at about 1 Pm when a Girl aged about 7 years went to Sabzimandi to buy Mirchi bajji from home and did not returned till late in the evening. The worried parents of the girl have made search but could not trace her. Later on they have lodged a missing complaint at Kulsumpura Police Station. The Kulsumpura police started searching for the missing girl. The next day morning ie on March 11, 2008 at 6.45 AM the police Kulsumpura have received telephone call that one girl aged about 7 years present at Erukalabasti locality with bleeding injuries. Immediately police reached there and found the girl for whom they are searching. On enquiry the girl stated that one boy took her to unknown place and raped her and caused bleeding injuries on her forehead.

On the above statement a case of kidnap, rape and attempt to murder registered and the girl was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.

Special teams were formed under the supervision of Asst. Commissioner of Police, Goshamahal Division and as per the descriptive particulars given by the victim and other circumstantial witnesses’ police have launched special haunt for the accused. On April 8, 2008 the police could corner the accused and arrested him. During the interrogation the accused Mohammed Shahed (20) a Welder R/o Chanewaleki Galli, Mustahid Pura spill the beans and confessed that, on March 10, 2008 he trapped the victim by luring her with a promise to gift Dairy Milk Chocolate and took her to an abandoned Mill of APCO situated at Panni Pura locality, confined her and raped brutally. The accused also tortured the girl and thereafter strangulated her with hair ribbon to kill her. When the girl became unconscious, he thought she is dead and left the place.

The accused was produced before the Hon’ble VI ACMM court for judicial remand.

After completing the trial, on Jan 20, 2014 the Hon’ble V AMSJ Court, Hyderabad pronounced judgment wherein sentenced to undergo RI for Seven (7) years and also to pay a fine of Rs.2000 in default to suffer SI for one (1) year for the offence U/sec 363 IPC and also sentenced to undergo RI for Ten (10) years and to pay a fine of Rs.2000 in default to suffer SI for one (1) year for the offence U/sec 307 IPC and also sentenced to undergo RI for LIFE and to pay a fine of Rs.2000 in default to suffer SI for one (1) year for the offence U/sec 376 IPC. The total fine amount Rs.6,000

Hyderabad, Jan 22 : Senior Assistant (A1) O/o. RTA, Attapur, R.R. District and One private person (A2) were caught red handed by the A.C.B. officials at about 3.45 PM on Jan 22 at office, when they demanded and accepted an amount of Rs. 30,000 (Rupees Thirty thousand only) as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour i.e. “for handing over Clearance Certificate and RC Book pertaining to Bus No. AP 28 TB 4545 of the Complainant”.

Bribe amount of Rs.30,000 was recovered. Both the Accused have been arrested and will be produced before the Honorable Ist Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.

District Vocational Education Officer Guntur in ACB net

Guntur, Jan 22 : The District Vocational Education Officer, Guntur District (who is in-charge of Guntur and Prakasam districts) was caught red-handed by the ACB officials on Jan 22 at 01.00 p.m. at O/o. District Vocational Education Officer, Guntur district, when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 4,000 from the complainant (Jr. Lecturer) for doing an official favour of sending the Service Register of the complainant to the new place of posting.

The accused officer is being arrested and produced before the Hon’ble ACB Court, Vijayawada. Case is under investigation.

Hyderabad, Jan 22 : A 30-year old Painter committed suicide set him ablaze at his residence due to family disputes.

According to the Narsingi police, Deceased G Krishna, committed suicide by set him ablaze at his residence at Peramcheru of Narsingi on Tuesday evening hours, immediately shifted to osmania hospital for treatment where he was died on late night hours. He took the extreme step as he was upset due to his wife Lavanya was going to her Parents house after a petty quarreled few days back. Narsingi police said.
