Anantapur district gets nod for Anantha project

Hyderabad, Jan 4 : Finance Minister Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Saturday informed the State Legislative Assembly that the State Government has given in-principle approval for the “Project Anantha” in Anantapur district to link up agriculture with allied sectors.

Replying to a question raised by MLA Madhusudan during Question Hour, the minister said that the government has constituted State Level Steering Committee and a Project Level Implementation and Monitoring Unit with State Project Director (Project Anantha) as Chairperson. The SLPSC will work out the modalities. Retired IAS Officer K Chandramouli has been appointed as the State Project Director. The expenditure will be met by converging the state annual plan funds and funds of Government of India of the line departments. INN
