Hyderabad, Dec 19 : The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders will call on President of India Pranab Mukherjee over the issue of State Reorganisation Bill.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly media point here, TRS Deputy Floor leader T Harish Rao said that the TRS delegation would lodge a complaint against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for stalling the debate on Telangana Bill in the House. He said that the Assembly failed to discuss the Bill although the parties gave an assurance in the Business Advisory Committee meeting for the same.
Harish Rao also accused Speaker Nandendla Manohar of having failed to run the House properly. He alleged that while TDP and YSRCP legislators from Seemandhra region were blackmailing the Speaker, the latter was also being pressurised by the Chief Minister. He described the stalling of Assembly proceedings as a drama being enacted upon by the Seemandhra legislators. He also condemned the frequent adjournments of the House.
The TRS leader said that when the Congress party would pass Lok Bill amid pandemonium, then why it could not pass the Telangana Bill in the Legislative Assembly. INN
