Dharmavarapu Subramanyam’s funeral to be held on Monday

Hyderabad, Dec 8 : The funeral of Telugu actor-comedian Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, who passed away on Saturday, will be performed on Monday.

According to family sources, the last rites will be performed in his native place in Singarakonda of Prakasam district.

Subramanyam, who was suffering from cancer and liver disorder for the last few months, breathed his last at his residence in P&T Colony of Dilsukhnagar on Saturday night. The actor made a mark for himself in the famous comedy serial ‘Anando Brahmo’ on Doordarshan in mid-1980s. He was introduced to Telugu films by noted director Jandhyala through his film ‘Jayammu Nischayammura’ in late 1980s. Besides acting, he also wrote and directed the serials and some films.

Several Tollywood personalities and politicians have expressed their condolences and paid tributes to the departed actor. INN
