Hyderabad will no more belong to Seemandhra people: JC

Hyderabad, Nov 23 : Former minister JC Diwakar Reddy on Saturday said that Seemandhra people should focus on development of their own capital, instead of living in the joint capital of Hyderabad in case of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media persons here, Diwakar Reddy said that Hyderabad would not belong to the Seemandhra people after State’s division. Whatever taxes they pay in Hyderabad would go to the Telangana State and therefore, instead of living in a joint capital, they should focus their energies on development of the new capital for the residual State of Andhra Pradesh.

Diwakar Reddy also made some indirect remarks on the authority of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Referring her to as “Amma” (mother), he said that what she says were being followed in the process of bifurcation of State while violating the set precedents and norms. He said “Amma’s” decision would be final on the status of Hyderabad.

He said that if given an appointment, he would meet Sonia Gandhi to make a representation to her on Rayala-Telangana proposal. INN
