TGV dismisses reports of Assembly dissolution

Hyderabad, Nov 20 : State Minister TG Venkatesh ruled the possibilities of early dissolution of State Legislative Assembly to thwart the Telangana Bill.

Talking to media persons at the Secretariat media point here on Wednesday, Venakesh said that the Assembly was the best forum to discuss public issues and there were no proposals to dissolve the Assembly to avoid facing Telangana Bill. However, he said that the it was the prerogative of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar to convene the session. He said neither the Governor nor the Speaker could intervene on convening the session of the Legislative Assembly.

Venkatesh also said that there was positive response to the proposal of Rayala-Telangana in Kurnool and the backwardness of the district could be eradicated if Rayala-Telangana was formed, in case the bifurcation was inevitable. INN
