Hyderabad, Nov 19 : PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday said that the Telangana Bill is likely to be introduced in the Parliament during the winner session beginning from December 5.
Talking to reporters after participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at Gandhi Bhavan here, Botsa said that AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh had indicated that the Telangana Bill might be introduced in the Parliament during winter session. Although Botsa did not elaborate on when the Bill was likely to be sent to the Legislative Assembly, but he was just referring to the discussions that he had with Digvijay Singh on the issue.
Making indirect criticism on the ongoing Rachabanda programme, Bota said that ideally, the programme should have been conducted in village, instead of towns. He said that the needs of the rural masses should be addressed with priority. He, however, did not name Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy who announced and held Rachabanda in different districts in the last few days.
When asked about differences between Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju and the Chief Minister, he said was making efforts to sort out the differences, if any, between the two.
Earlier, the PCC President along with other Congress leaders paid rich tributes and Indira Gandhi and said that her services for the nation were exemplary. He exhorted all Congress leaders to follow the ideals of Indira Gandhi in rendering service to the people. INN
